Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's Westbrook Inc. partners with new U.S. anime studio formed by Azuki, Comisma and Xenotoon for global content push.

The new studio will develop, produce and globally distribute original intellectual properties and anime adaptations through what the partners describe as unique production models shaped by Azuki’s creative DNA. Studio Azuki plans to fuse this international momentum with Japan’s anime culture to pioneer new production models, elevate storytelling quality, enable fan collaboration and introduce social-first formats. Comisma CEO Koki Sato noted his company’s mission “to make ‘manga artist’ a dream profession for children.” He added: “Through trust in creators and strong engagement with fans, we have delivered many successful IPs to the world.
