Wake Forest Baseball Coach Breaks Silence After Using Homophobic Slur


Wake Forest baseball coach Tom Walter was caught on camera using the derogatory slur during his team's NCAA regionals game on Monday, June 2

A Pittsburgh-area man has been charged with allegedly providing alcohol to Kavan Markwood, 20, the former college football player who fell 21 feet onto the field at PNC Park last month. Wake Forest’s vice president and director of athletics, John Currie, also issued a statement on Tuesday condemning Walter’s alleged remark. During the Wolverines’ game against the University of Southern California Trojans on Sunday, March 16, Voit, 20, hit a bases-clearing triple in the second inning at Ann Arbor, Michigan’s Ray Fisher Stadium.
