With her ex-husband Ethan Hawke, Thurman shares two children who are finding significant success in the film and television spheres. Maya Hawke has gained recognition for her roles in “Stranger Things,” “Asteroid City,” and “Wildcat,” in addition to releasing three albums as a singer/songwriter. Thurman told Seth Meyers on June 24 that she is so proud of her children (which also includes 12-year-old Luna), and that she is enjoying watching them ascend to the top echelons of the industry that made her famous.
