It was glaringly incendiary and terse; its present-day conflicts in Los Angeles and San Francisco between immigration activists and law enforcement far overshadowed the lack of any kind of mention on whatever demonstrations he was alluding to. With daylight breaking on the West Coast, freshly shot footage emerged showing masked demonstrators burning American flags in front of ICE centers, an image that further fueled division.
