True story tennis film 'has it all' with controversial star's 'best performance'
King Richard tells the story of Richard Williams, the father of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams, and stars Will Smith in the lead role - and it's now available to rent on Amazon Prime
Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and written by Zach Baylin, the movie stars Will Smith as the patriarch, alongside Aunjanue Ellis, Demi Singleton, Tony Goldwyn, Saniyya Sidney, and Jon Bernthal. King Richard received widespread critical acclaim, earning six Oscar nominations at the 94th Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Will Smith's performance, which he went on to win.
