Selena Gomez Returns to ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ as a Season 2 Guest Star
Selena Gomez will reprise the role of Alex Russo in Season 2 of 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.'
In the original series, Gomez’s Alex Russo was a young wizard who trained in magic alongside her two brothers with the knowledge that only one of them would be able to keep their powers once they reached adulthood. In the spinoff, Alex reaches out to her brother Justin (David Henrie) and asks if teenage wizard Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) can move in with him and his family to train in magic. Besides Gomez, executive producers of “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” include Henrie; writers Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas; Gary Marsh; and Jonas Agin.
