The actress — whom Bruce, 69, shares with ex-wife Demi Moore, 61 — updated PEOPLE at the Jhpiego Laughter Is the Best Medicine Gala on May 2 about her dad’s health and his relationship with his granddaughter, Louetta. Rumer also shared why she was attending the gala put on by Jhpiego, a nonprofit organization that strives to deliver transformative health care solutions, especially to women and their families. She continues: “I talked to so many friends who had babies at the same time, that there was such a staggering amount that I felt like didn’t have the proper access to information to really set themselves up for support.”
