Reality TV’s Chrisley Family Lands New Lifetime Docuseries, Even With Parents Todd and Julie Still Behind Bars (TV News Roundup)

Lifetime has greenlit a new docuseries following the Chrisley Family after Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to federal prison in 2022.

Co-created, directed and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesa Delbanco, Season 2 of “Platonic” picks up with Will and Sylvia (Rogen and Byrne) as they “contend with new mid-life hurdles including work, weddings and partners in crises,” according to a press release. The season kicks off as lawyer and recovering alcoholic Abigail’s (Jewel Staite) life is in complete shambles after boyfriend Ben (Benjamin Ayres) falls off, Sofia (Eden Summer Gilmore) writes an essay about her mom’s addiction and Harry (Victor Garber) passes her over. “Especially during these times, when the global industry is facing production cutbacks and the local market is grappling with challenges due to the ongoing war, the need for professional dialogue and a meaningful event that highlights the strength of Israeli content is more important than ever.”
