Queen Elizabeth's Cousin Reveals What She Reportedly Thought of Meghan

Queen Elizabeth's cousin shares what the late monarch reportedly thought about Meghan Markle, her influence and family drama before her passing

Anson, who died at age 79, spoke to royal author Sally Bedell Smith in a posthumous interview published by The Times of London on Wednesday, July 2. Elizabeth, who died in 2022 at the age of 96, was allegedly “dismayed” that Harry asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to perform the ceremony in St George’s Chapel without obtaining permission from the Dean of Windsor first, according to Anson. While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not addressed Anson’s posthumous claims, they were reported to be on good terms with Elizabeth after leaving England.
