Peacock Bumps Off Murder, She Wrote
Ironically, its streaming popularity may be one reason it’s leaving the platform.
Murder, She Wrote has been part of Peacock since the streamer made its national debut five years ago this month, and executives there have decided to mark this important milestone by … killing J.B. Fletcher (metaphorically, of course). All 12 seasons and 264 episodes of MSW were purged from Peacock this morning, despite the fact that the series is owned and distributed by Universal Television, sibling studio to the streamer. So if you want your Murder uninterrupted, you’ll need to either buy the DVDs(or the very fancy new Blu-ray collection, which runs about $140) or purchase seasons on streaming via the usual digital stores (look out for sales, especially around the holidays).
