Paul Stanley Says Raising His Children Helped Him 'Heal' from a Difficult Childhood: My Parents Were 'Ill-Equipped'

KISS rocker Paul Stanley said on The Magnificent Others podcast that he believes his mom and dad were "ill-equipped" to be parents, and that he's healed by showing his children extra love.

KISS rocker Paul Stanley is opening up about the ways in which his mom and dad’s parenting styles set the groundwork for the rest of his life. The musician, 73, was a guest on Billy Corgan ’s The Magnificent Others podcast on Wednesday, June 11, and said that while he’s “very content and happy” with his “wonderful family” now, it took some time for him to get to that place after a difficult childhood. “It will have all the familiar touchstones that people love about a KISS cruise, whether it’s bands playing, Q&As, contests, food available, good drinks, social aspects to it.”
