The so-called octagon of Octavia Spencer-the mumma-that is, she was offered to reprise her role in ‘Ma 2,’ the sequel to the 2019 flick of a type where the imps were cheering, laughing, or awkwardly turning away it either way! The original ‘Ma,’ directed by Tate Taylor, followed Spencer as Sue Ann, a lonely woman who befriends a group of teenagers to reveal that she’s frighteningly unhinged. Not one bit of information has surfaced on the plot yet, though consider that if the sequel did follow through on what the original set-up in terms of tone, expect to see unsettling hospitality, teenage idiocy, and Octavia Spencer just tearing into that role without holding back.
