Norwegian Filmmaker Patrik Syversen Teams With SpectreVision On Genre-Bender ‘Dawning’ – First Look

SpectreVision has partnered with filmmaker Patrik Syversen on 'Dawning,' a genre-bending feature slated for release in the Nordics later this year.

Their sensibility, love for cinema and quest for the subversive and idiosyncratic makes them a perfect fit for Dawning, a deeply personal film that in many ways feels like a new beginning for me as a filmmaker. Syversen’s previous credits include the cult horror Rovdyr, indie drama Det som en gang var, and limited series Kieler Street. SpectreVision is known for titles like A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, the Farsi-language, black-and-white vampire flick launching the career of filmmaker Ana Lily Amirpour, as well as Mandy starring Nicolas Cage, The Greasy Strangler, the Daniels’ Swiss Army Man, Oscar nominee The Messenger, Emmy nominee The Tale, and the DICE/Golden Joystick-nominated video game Transference for Ubisoft.
