The debut season of Netflix’s Building the Band kicks off today, and mentor/judge Nicole Scherzinger opens up about working with Liam Payne and helping form One Direction, why Lizzo would be included in a modern day Pussycat Dolls, why she wanted to be part of the show and more. I just loved the fact that a band was being put together with themselves without ever having seen each other, that it was solely based off of music, compatibility and chemistry and connection. One thing I thought was interesting in the show, you talked about putting the power kind of back in the singer’s hands.
