National Hispanic Media Coalition announces Cohort of Participants in the Series Scriptwriters program
Ten talented Latine women from across the country have been selected for an intensive eight-week writers lab, where they will develop an original half-hour or hour-long television pilot. Throughout the program, participants receive hands-on guidance from professional mentors, build meaningful connections with established TV writers, and sharpen their storytelling and pitching skills. Brenda Victoria Castillo, president and CEO of the National Hispanic Media Coalition, said, “The future of television starts with bold, authentic storytelling — and that’s exactly what this cohort represents.” She continued, “This program is about more than breaking barriers, it’s about rewriting the narrative.
