Nashville’s Deep Tropics Festival Will Begin With a Sustainability Summit: See the Program


Nashville's Deep Tropics festivals will begin with a sustainability summit that will feature Geoff Devlin, Kristy Drutman, Madame Gandhi and more.

Additionally, artist and activist Madame Gandhi will perform music sampling the sounds of threatened ecosystems, while PrinceHaru of Brazil’s Kuntanawa Nation will give a talk on how he advocates for indigenous sovereignty and biocultural regeneration in the Amazon. Justin Jones, a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, will also present, as will Kristy Drutman, a speaker, consultant, media producer and environmental educator. This year’s edition of Deep Tropics is set to power the majority of the festival with renewable energy systems and batteries.
