Instagram/@michaeljackson The official Instagram account of Michael Jackson was under attack for posting a pixelated clip of the late King of Pop dancing to one of his timeless creations, the popular song, ‘Will You Be There.’ The British posting, juxtaposed with scenes from the 1993 film Free Willy, was supposed to uplift the stormy ballad but only brought attention to the pixelated resolution. One user half-jokingly said, ‘High-quality videos are prohibited on this account.’ Another amongst the many critiques was, “Poor quality image WHAAAAT ABOUT IT” – an obvious nod to Jackson’s ad-lib. Additionally, the industry continues to honor his contributions, but fans are left hoping for a brighter future for the quality of content shared in his memory.
