Mark Hamill Says He'd Be 'Lost' Without His Wife of 46 Years: She 'Runs Everything'

Mark Hamill, who stars in the new film 'The Life of Chuck,' tells PEOPLE that his wife of 46 years, Marilou Hamill, "runs everything" in their home. "She's had assistance, but she winds up sort of doing everything herself anyway," he says.

The Hamills wed at home in Malibu, Calif., after meeting in the mid '70s at a dental office where Marilou worked, just before he skyrocketed to fame as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise. Aside from The Life of Chuck, the veteran actor had a voice role in last year's The Wild Robot and will appear in The Long Walk, another Stephen King adaptation, this September, among other projects. Hamill has appeared in multiple King-related projects in the past too — including the celebrated author's 1992 movie Sleepwalkers, which marked King's first feature-film screenplay not adapted from or inspired by one of his previously written works.
