Major League Baseball is acquiring a stake in Jomboy Media and will integrate the digital brand's content across its platforms.
Jomboy will also gain access to IP from the league and its clubs, which will be integrated in new apparel, home goods and other merchandise sold through the company’s direct-to-customer website and other distribution channels. “We have long admired the passionate fandom of Jimmy O’Brien and his unique ability to connect with baseball fans,” said Noah Garden, MLB Deputy Commissioner, Business and Media. Jomboy board members Jack Davis and Adam Friedman of Connect Ventures also played key roles in striking the deal, the company said.
