The actress and activist declared that the event should really be called “The OSCARS of the fragrance industry!” because it honors the underappreciated art of perfumery, while she rabbited on in her loud statement of a shoulder-baring Mugler dress straight from the ’90s with a dash of her own. Cox took to Instagram to explain how for years she had been holding onto a rare John Galliano blouse from the Spring 1997 “Circus” collection, awaiting the perfect occasion on which to style it. There was hairstylist Dee Tranny Bear and makeup artist Deja Smith to complete the glam squad, with one observer describing the floral hair details as “stunning work.” Such was the allure of the whole look that MSNBC fans forgot for a while about an upcoming TV appearance.
