Ladies in Black: why U's new Aussie drama is a must-watch for Call the Midwife fans


Based on Madeleine St John's 1993 novel, Ladies in Black is an Australian drama series set in 1960s Sydney department store, and stars a string of familiar faces.

Goodfellas and Entourage star Debi Mazar fronts the show as it serves up a delightful mix of fashion, friendship, and female empowerment, weaving feel-good nostalgia with impactful, subtly political narratives that confront issues like women's rights, racism, and social class.
