Korean Thriller ‘Doubt’ Wins at Italian Global Series Festival
South Korean thriller “Doubt” won the top international drama series prize at the inaugural edition of the Italian Global Series Festival.
Han Suk-Kyu won the best actor in a drama series prize for the show, which is about a renowned profiler torn between love and suspicion as he investigates a murder linked to his psychopathic daughter. Other prizes in the comedy category included best director, which went to Christopher Smith for Ireland’s “Video Nasty,” and best actor, picked up by Ahmet Kural for Turkish show “Gassal.” BEST DIRECTORLisa Mulcahy for “The Assassin” (U.K., Germany, Australia, Greece), produced by All3Media International, Amazon Prime Video, Stan, Two Brothers Pictures, ZDF Mediathek, Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen.
