Korea’s ‘Doubt’ & Spain’s ‘Celeste’ Win Big at Italian Global Series Festival


Korean drama 'Doubt' and Spanish comedy 'Celeste' were the big winners at the inaugural Italian Global Series Festival's Maximo Awards last night.

Best Actor was handed to Ahmet Kural for Turkey’s Gassal and the comedy Special Jury Award went to UK series Douglas Is Cancelled, which was created, written and executive-produced by Steven Moffat and starring Hugh Bonneville, Karen Gillan, Alex Kingston and Ben Miles. The Special Jury Award for Best Ensemble Cast was handed to Kabul,which has partners from France, Germany, Greece, Belgium and Italy and stars Gianmarco Saurino, Valentina Cervi, Shervin Alenabi and Eric Dane; written by Olivier Demangel, Thomas Finkelkraut and Joey Lavy. BEST DIRECTORLisa Mulcahy for ‘The Assassin’(UK, Germany, Australia, Greece), produced by All3Media International, Amazon Prime Video, Stan, Two Brothers Pictures, ZDF Mediathek, Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen.
