Kings of Leon Cancel European Tour After Frontman Suffers ‘Pretty Gnarly’ Foot Injury

Kings of Leon cancel Europe tour dates after frontman Caleb Followill broke his foot. He revealed the band planned to premiere new songs at the shows.

“It’s a big bummer because we were so excited and had been preparing for this tour for a long time.” The musician revealed that the band planned to premiere new songs at the since-scrapped shows, adding: “We’ve been in the studio recording a bunch of new music that we were going to debut.” Kings of Leon are still scheduled to perform in North America in July, when they will headline two nights at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. “We’ve found that the more control we take, over all aspects of the creative process, the more authentic the experience is for us and the fans,” Jared Followill told Rolling Stone about the record at the time.
