King Charles's bloodshot eye explained as he welcomes Emmanuel Macron to Windsor

King Charles was pictured with a bloodshot eye as he welcomed French president Emmanuel Macron to the UK for a state visit - but officials say there is no cause for alarm

Alongside Queen Camilla and First Lady Brigitte Macron, the monarch kicked off the three-day diplomatic trip, which will celebrate a millennium of "shared history and culture" between Britain and France. Charles, Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and President and Mrs Macron will then embark on a horse-drawn carriage journey through the Berkshire town and along sections of the Long Walk leading to the castle, reports the Express. Mr and Mrs Macron are set to journey to London on Tuesday afternoon, where they'll pay their respects at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey.
