Jesse Armstrong’s ‘Mountainhead’ Becomes Most-Watched HBO Original Film Since ‘Bad Education’


Jesse Armstrong's directorial debut Mountainhead follows a group of tech billionaires at the end of the world

A few of the HBO Original films that have debuted since then are the pandemic-era comedy Coastal Elites, the political drama Oslo, the Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark and Barry Levinson’s The Survivor. It stars Steve Carell as Randall, Jason Schwartzman as Souper (Hugo Van Yalk), Cory Michael Smith as Venis, and Ramy Youssef as Jeff. Armstrong also executive produces with Frank Rich, Lucy Prebble, Jon Brown, Tony Roche, Will Tracy, Mark Mylod, and Jill Footlick.
