Jeff Ross Reveals How Doctor Jokingly Delivered His Cancer Diagnosis
Jeff Ross revealed how his doctor humorously delivered his colon cancer diagnosis and discussed his upcoming Broadway show 'Take a Banana for the Ride'
During his interview with host Kimmel, 57, Ross said he was motivated to go public with his diagnosis because his close friend Norm MacDonald kept his own nine-year cancer battle quiet before his death in 2021. He confirmed in April that he’d been hospitalized after a gig in Mill Valley, California, due to an allergic reaction to “delicious” and “seriously yummy” Burrata-flavored ice cream. He self-deprecatingly admitted that, although swelling made him look like “ Mickey Rourke at the end of The Wrestler,” he would be back on stage the very next night to workshop Take a Banana for the Ride before its Broadway run.
