Jean Smart Out Of Broadway’s ‘Call Me Izzy’ This Week Due To Knee Injury
The role of Izzy will be played by Johanna Day from July 8 to July 11. The production's 12-week limited run at Studio 54 ends August 17.
An Instagram message on the show’s official page says, “We look forward to having her back on stage as soon as she recovers.” Day, a two-time Tony nominee for Proof and Sweat, also filled in for the critically acclaimed Smart this past weekend. As is usual when stars are out, the show’s grosses took a hit, dropping to $233,730 from the previous week’s $505,848.
