Hannah Brown Uses EMDR Therapy to Heal After Family Was 'Brutally Murdered'

Bachelor Nation’s Hannah Brown reflected on processing grief and trauma from her family's death with EMDR therapy and support from her fiancé

Hannah Brown was introduced to the world when she vied for Colton Underwood’s love on The Bachelor season 23 in 2018 — and fans are still keeping track of her highs and lows. Brown previously revealed in her 2021 memoir, God Bless This Mess, that her aunt and cousins were killed by a man living in a trailer on their property while fixing their house. While discussing her healing journey, the Bachelor in Paradise personality further noted on “The Squeeze” podcast that it has been “painful and hard to talk about” the lessons she learned in EMDR therapy, especially with her fiancé, Adam Woolard.
