G Flip Will Channel ‘Butch Springsteen’ on Eighties-Inspired Album ‘Dream Ride’

G Flip will drop Eighties-inspired album 'Dream Ride' Sept. 5, led by new single 'In Another Life' and alter ego Butch Springsteen.

On Thursday, the Australian star announced that they will release their third album, Dream Ride, on Sept. 5 inspired by the sound of the era — and channeling an alter ego they’re nicknaming “Butch Springsteen.” G Flip explained that Dream Ride was born after many late-night drives to the studio, which inspired car-themed lyrics in the songs they were creating. The LP is also set to feature previously released singles “Disco Cowgirl” and “Big Ol’ Hammer,” which starred Fortune Feimster.
