Former Prosecutors Downplay Likelihood of Diddy Getting Max Jail Time
Diddy faces up to 20 years for transportation charges while legal experts predict the sentencing won't reach the maximum due to circumstances
As the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs kicked off in New York City, observers were surprised to hear the names of numerous other celebrities mentioned during jury selection and various witness testimonies. Diddy entered a not guilty plea to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution following his arrest in New York in September 2024. “Based upon Cassie’s testimony, we don’t really see the elements of the racketeering,” criminal attorney Joshua Ritter, who is not affiliated with the case, exclusively told Us Weekly in a cover story published in June.
