Former NCT Member Taeil Sentenced After Being Found Guilty of Rape

Former NCT member Taeil has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison after being found guilty of rape in South Korea.

The singer, who was removed from the group in August 2024 after their label confirmed that he had been connected to the criminal case, will serve three-and-a-half years in prison The 31-year-old has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for sexually assaulting an intoxicated tourist in June 2024 with two other men, according to The Korea Times. Reports note that she became “heavily intoxicated” and traveled with them to Lee’s home, where she was then assaulted while unconscious in what South Korean law describes as a “quasi rape.” They each pleaded guilty in June.
