The former White House press secretary will publish the book in October.
In 2020, she joined Biden’s campaign as a senior adviser, becoming Harris’s chief of staff and then, two years later, White House press secretary. Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover Up, And His Disastrous Choice to Run Again” has topped The New York Times Bestseller list. The description of Jean-Pierre’s book, though, suggests a different take, as it describes the Democratic pressure campaign to get Biden to abandon his White House bid as a “betrayal.”
