Former 20th Century Fox Creative executive Mike Southerly will make his directorial debut with indie romcom ‘Where We Met.'
The official logline of “Where We Met” reads, “When a Black conservative (Shamoun) and a white liberal (Short) meet by chance on an LA hiking trail, their ideological differences challenge everything they knew about themselves and turns an ordinary day into a winding, emotional journey. As executive vice president of creative advertising at 20th Century Fox, he spearheaded global campaigns for “The Simpsons Movie” and the “X-Men” franchise. Rounding out the “Where We Met” cast are Susan Ruttan, Stephanie Blake, Brock Yurich, Tory Trowbridge, Ben Onyx Dowdy, Jonathan Fishman, Lyric Monet Page, Jim Cody Williams and Kim Yarbrough.
