Fiona Phillips' husband shares emotional health update as TV star 'doesn't know him'

Martin Frizell, the husband of former GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips, appeared on This Morning to talk about his wife's experience with early-onset Alzheimer's disease

Martin joined hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary on the ITV show on Friday (11 July) to discuss Fiona's memoir, Remember When: My Life with Alzheimer's, which was published in June. He then recounted a recent incident where Fiona had mistakenly thought he was trying to kidnap her, as she failed to recognise him while they were out near their home, reports the Mirror. Martin shared that, given her family history, Fiona had long been anxious about receiving an Alzheimer's diagnosis, telling This Morning: "She knew this disease was going to come knocking at some point."
