Fans Choose Wampi & Leoni Torres’ ‘La Última’ as Their Favorite New Latin Music of the Week
Wampi and Leoni Torres' "La Ultima" was picked by Billboard readers as their favorite new Latin music release of the week.
Wampi and Leoni Torres’ collaboration in “La Última” has topped Billboard’s latest new Latin music poll, published on Friday (June 27). “La Última” generated more than 45% of the vote, beating out other new releases last week including Camilo’s “Maldito ChatGPT,” Myke Towers’ “Expectativas,” and Gerardo Ortiz’s comeback track “Échame el Grito.” Anuel AA’s “Little Demon” came in second place with more than 43% of the vote. Wampi, Cuba’s breakout star from the booming Reparto genre, and Torres, the country’s prolific singer/songwriter, collided in a jazzy heartfelt love ballad about two lovebirds meeting at the wrong time.
