Everything the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Cast Has Said About Upcoming TV Show

The Crazy Rich Asians cast, including Henry Golding and Gemma Chan, shares updates about the upcoming TV adaptation and sequel development

Based on the book of the same name by Kevin Kwan, the film followed Rachel Chu (Constance Wu) as she discovers that her boyfriend Nick Young’s (Henry Golding) family is extremely wealthy while traveling with him to Singapore for a wedding. Steve Granitz/FilmMagicGolding, who starred as Nick Young in the movie, told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in June 2025 that they are working on the series and aiming to get it released for “first quarter … next year.” The new movie from director Celine Song features updated themes about class differences and modern dating (plus a delicious love triangle, of course) that feel relevant to 2025.
