Diddy Can’t Be Sued Over Alleged Rapes From the 1990s, Judge Says

Diddy can't face a lawsuit over alleged incidents from the 1990s, a judge ruled in trimming one of the many civil lawsuits against the rap mogul.

A judge has dismissed rape claims from one of the many civil lawsuits against Sean “Diddy” Combs, ruling that the statute of limitations has expired for allegations that the rap mogul forced a woman to have intercourse and oral sex in the 1990s. But Judge Stroth says that pursuant to a recent ruling from a New York appellate court, this claims window only applies to alleged instances of sexual abuse that occurred after the GMVA’s original passage in December 2000. Sean "Diddy" Combs speaks during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference National Town Hall on September 21, 2023 in Washington, DC.
