Dexter: Resurrection Recap: Copycat Killer

Like any good father, Dexter has made it his mission to lurk around Harrison and fix all of his amateur-killer mistakes.

While he’s responsible enough to pass his GED and babysit Elsa’s asthmatic son, he’s also snorting coke on late-night joyrides with hotel valet Lance (Darius Jordan Lee) and having flashbacks to shooting Dexter. This ties back to the episode’s opening scene, where we see the killer in question (Marc Menchaca) attack his Haitian driver while spouting vaguely racist talking points about losing everything “because of you fucks.” The Dark Passenger’s weapon of choice is a barbed chain that he uses to decapitate his victims. Thankfully, Dexter is on the case, and he once again uses his strong intuitive powers (and some slightly lazy writing) to identify the Dark Passenger serial killer as Ronald Schmidt, the only Bridge Data Network employee without a photo on the website or any online presence at all.
