Daughter of Hollywood royalty tipped to take over from Anna Wintour

It was announced yesterday the magazine’s 75-year-old editor-in-chief will hand over the day-to-day running of the title after 37 years to focus on her broader remit of Condé Nast’s global editorial vision. Educated at JFK and RFK’s alma mater Riverdale, an elite private school with a leafy campus in the Bronx, then Brown University, Chloe Malle has Ivy League pedigree and her mother played Carrie Bradshaw’s fictional Vogue editor, Enid Frick, in the TV series Sex and the City. The former British Vogue editor — and the last to hold that title — Edward Enninful, who left in 2024 after a rumoured power struggle around Wintour’s succession planning, is unlikely to be interested.
