Dandelooo Cinéma Acquires Global Rights to ‘My Life in Versailles – The Movie’ Ahead of Annecy Premiere
The 2D animated feature comes from powerhouse players Films Grand Huit and Mélusine Productions with Xilam and Miyu co-producing.
Aimed at children aged 6 to 10, the feature is currently in production and scheduled for theatrical release in France in October 2025 by distributor Jour 2 Fête. The story centers on eight-year-old Violet, who, after the loss of her parents, moves in with her gruff uncle Regis, a maintenance worker at the Palace of Versailles. Lionel Massol, producer at Films Grand Huit, said of the acquisition, “For many months now, Clémence, Nathaniel and I have been working on this feature-length adaptation of ‘La Vie de Château’ surrounded by shared emotions – just like those of a theatre audience.
