Daddy Yankee Returns From Retirement With ‘Sonríele’ Video and Single: ‘I’m Back’
Daddy Yankee is back from retirement with a new video and single for 'Sonríele.'
The music video for “Sonríele” was filmed in multiple locations including Bushwick, New York, where Yankee lived over 25 years ago. Yankee announced that he would be retiring in March 2022, when he released his most recent album, “Legendaddy.” He went on to complete his “La Meta (The Goal”) tour through 2024 as his “final” performance. On July 9, HYBE Latin America unveiled their new Latin-focused competition series “Santos Bravos,” which aims to create an all-male band through intensive training.
