Country Singer Conner Smith Gets Misdemeanor Citation After Fatal Accident
Country singer Conner Smith was issued a misdemeanor state citation after being involved in a fatal car accident
Multiple outlets confirmed that the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department issued the citation on Thursday, July 10, one month after the incident that resulted in the death of a 77-year-old woman named Dorothy Dobbins. Smith’s attorney released a statement to Us Weekly confirming the musician was involved in a car accident, saying, “His heart goes out to Ms. Dobbins’ family during this incredibly difficult time. A Tennessee native, Smith signed to Big Machine Records and was nominated for New Male Artist of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards after the success of hit songs including “Creek Will Rise” and “Learn From It.”
