Coronation Street star to play Prime Minister in Netflix series dubbed 'next Bodyguard'
The political thriller is coming later this year
The ex-Corrie star plays a 'fierce' Prime Minister (Image: Netflix) "Forced into a fierce rivalry where their political futures, and lives, might hang in the balance, can they work together to uncover the plot that threatens them both?" In a first look at the series shared by the streaming giant today (June 18), fans caught their first glimpse of Suranne as Prime Minister Abigail Dalton, starring opposite Julie Delpy as French President Vivienne Toussaint. The cast also includes Corey Mylchreest (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), Lucian Msamati (Conclave), Ashley Thomas (The Ipcress File), James Cosmo (Braveheart), Martin McCann (Calibre), and Jehnny Beth (Anatomy of a Fall).
