Bernie first graced the cobbles in 2019 as the estranged mother of Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash), quickly becoming a fan favourite. Despite the turmoil in her life, Bernie found love with Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) after they began a romance a few years back, reports Leicestershire Live. Despite her eccentricities, Dev has embraced Bernie into his home and life with his children, leaving her criminal past behind - and earlier this year, he even proposed, to which she happily said yes.
