CNN Hires Brad Smith As Anchor For Its FAST Channel
The network is expanding its CNN Headlines service.
CNN Worldwide CEO Mark Thompson has placed a priority on transitioning to digital and streaming, with plans to launch a new service later this year, in what he called “the first true news streaming service.” Among other things, CNN.com has started a paywall, and it will be part of an “all access” subscription offering. Axios reported that CNN is adding more live and original programming to its FAST Channel. Finance, Smith covered equity markets, hosted Morning Brief and interviewed CEOs and lawmakers.
