Bryan Adams Says His Anti-Trump Song “51st State” Got Standing Ovations in Texas, as He Releases His First Album About Canada

Bryan Adams took “51st State,” his song mocking Trump’s push to make Canada the 51st U.S. state, into Texas and Missouri this summer. He says the crowds stood up every night. The song anchors How’s It Goin’, out Nov. 6, his first album about Canada in a 40-year career, written as Trump’s tariffs climbed to 50 per cent and the annexation talk kept coming. Adams hopes Trump hears it, remembers the night Trump walked into his show in Atlantic City, and says American fans apologize to him.
