The latest example is On Call star Brandon Larracuente who has joined Chicago Fire as a series regular on its upcoming 14th season for NBC. Larracuente has come on board Chicago Fire after On Call was canceled by Prime Video in early May following failed renewal negotiations with Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television that at one point involved a possible two-season pickup. As Deadline reported exclusively at the time, the half-hour action police drama, starring Troian Bellisario and Larracuente, was shopped to other platforms, garnering interest from two places.
