Instagram/@ozzyosbourne One of the prestigious awards for the band would have perhaps indeed been the Civic Freedom of Birmingham, with the presentation made at the Council House on Saturday. The original lineup of Terence “Geezer” Butler, Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, and Bill Ward were officially recognized with scrolls and medals by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Zafar Iqbal, an eternal tribute to their profound contribution to defining the cultural and musical identity of the city. In addition, all members of the band were awarded with an Honorary title of Freeman, with their names respectively engraved upon the marble of the city as a definite reminder of its existence.
