Billy McFarland Sells Frye Festival Brand Rights on eBay Starting at 1 Cent

Billy McFarland’s Fyre Festival brand, infamous for its failed music event, is now up for auction starting at 1 cent with bids climbing fast

My dream is finally becoming a reality,” entrepreneur Billy McFarland, who created the original festival, shared in an interview with Today on Monday, February 24, the same day tickets for the event officially went on sale. However, the execution of the event failed in a catastrophic way — there were issues with security, accommodations, food availability, medical services, bands and more. Fyre Festival made headlines when it was ultimately canceled and left attendees stranded on a remote part of the island with nothing to eat and no safe place to stay.
